Express RIP from NCH software is a program that enables its users to extract digital audio tracks from CDs and convert them to mp3 or wav. Track artist information is automatically retrieved when connected to the Internet from Music Brainz database.
A new redesigned interface makes this program easier to use. You only have to insert a CD and continue the ripping process using the buttons and choosing a destination for the output.
Though it doesn’t offer many features, Express RIP can have basic elements customized, such as adjusting the output format, encoder settings, and to choose where to get the track information: from MusicBrainz or FreeDB. It can also be set to correct or adjust audio volume of ripped tracks as they are extracted.
New Express RIP features offers extraction from 21 different audio formats (including mp4, aac, aiff, etc.) to output to mp3 or wav. Additionally, the program can be run from the command line for integration with other applications and it can be set to overwrite files without prompting.
