Express Rip - Free music application for extracting (ripping) audio digital tracks from music/vocal audio CDs and convert them to wav, mp3, OGG, AAC, etc. audio files to be saved on the user PC or burned to another blank CD.
When a CD is inserted in the corresponding drive, the application connects with Internet to find the table of contents in the freeDB Online Album Database, all the information about the record (if any) and displays album title, gendre, track names, year, etc. Every time a CD disc is inserted in the drive, the application refreshes all the data.
The program extracts automatically all the tracks on the disc and the user can set the directory, folder, path for the tracks to be saved, and the output format. For each output format, the application can display the encoding parameters for the user to change them (if desired).
User can run the application directly from the Windows Command Line box or from another application running. The help file shows all the available options for these commands.
The Help file comes in HTML format and it is displayed by the Internet browser.
The program offers as well the downloading of other applications as "WavPad", which is a very useful program for adding effects to music, clean noise, amplify, compress, filtering, etc.
Advantages:
- Very fast extraction. Good file format parameters edition.
Disadvantages:
- Many of the audio formats to convert are only available on the PLUS edition of the program. Help file is not extensive.
